We have sailed in the sea of cortez for two seasons(years) (home for the hurricane seasons). The furthest north was Bahia Los Angeles and the furthest south was Bahia de Manzanillo.  We are currently in Mazatlan waiting for installation of a new engine to run our water maker.  It also has a 150 ampere alternator.  We have to have our water maker operational by 4/30 or the south pacific trip is a no go for this year.  We are optimistically making preparations for our trip to Hiva Oa in French Polynesia. Steve is working on getting pictures on our blog.

Hello flat landers. Nona and Steve left Oregon 9/15/10 with salty dog Gary Noland and sailed to Newport, Charleston, Fort Brag, San Francisco, Santa Barbara(Gary departed), Santa Catalina, Oceanside and finally to San Diego. 10/25/10 we departed S.D. with 150 other sailboats.  Our third hand was Cyree(a french fellow). We stopped in Turtle bay for two nights, sailed to Bahia Magnalina and then Cabo San Lucas. We dropped off Cyree and then Nona and I went up into the sea of cortez to begin our wonderful journey of sailing adventure.
